yeah - he did talk about not really digging it much before they played it.

but he said that mostly he just dislikes the recorded version, and that he's coming around to it having played it a bit now... regardless, it was enjoyable for us in the audience. smile

The Bowie\NIN concert was really good... (many years ago)... But we got a little pissed off 'cause people in the mosh pit started tossing garbage at Bowie 'cause they wanted NIN to play, AND the kids in front of us though that Nirvana sang the original Man Who Sold the World and were booing him! But the music was amazing!!!!! biggrin

I heard last night was pretty amazing! Wish I could have been there...

Today we went to Prince Alberts. I ordered a veggie dog, took one bite and thought....hmmm this tastes curiously like a hot dog. I made Alex try it....he was like, you're crazy, its a veggie dog. I took another couple bites and made him try it again....still didn't agree....ate some more and made Kevin try it.... "no, it tastes like a veggie dog".....
I couldn't...

I've heard some pretty good things about that place, but never been. I'm even more intrigued now. I hope it WAS a veggie dog though.

There was a strange occurrence last night...

Before I went to bed I muted my computer and plugged in my iPod to charge.

I was either already awake, or woke up to the sound of my computer restarting itself. It made that windows shut down noise. I opened my eyes and looked up and saw eyes hovering over my mini-fridge. I watched and realised it...

At long last I have my internet back. After the failing of our neighbour's wireless network that we were stealing we decided to actually PURCHASE internet. Best.idea.ever.

I also had a bunch of brilliant weekends in between.
One weekend was spent getting high, going and eating delicious dessert at Demetres, then getting drunk and dancing, and going to the strip club with my roommate.

I...

YAY! Finally an eventful weekend.
Friday night Sarah and I went to Call the Office and saw a show. The opening band, the Creepshow, was so good I was completely satisfied and could've gone home happy. After the show we went to 181 and got drunk and danced for a while.
We met up with Sarahs friend who told us about a rave that was...

*OPETH: More Details Surface Regarding 'Live Observation' Performances - Jan. 27, 2006

Sweden's *OPETH* have revealed more information about their upcoming
special performances, dubbed *"Chronology MCMXCIV- MMV - A Live Observation By Opeth"*, which will take place in select U.S. markets on their upcoming tour. The shows, which are scheduled for New York City's Town Hall (Feb. 23), Chicago's House of Blues (March 2) and Los Angeles' Wiltern Theatre (March 14), will consist of a chronologically played setlist, starting with music from the very first record, *"Orchid"*, and ending with vibes from the latest opus, *"Ghost Reveries"*. These extended sets are exclusive to the three dates and there won't be any support bands on these nights.

*OPETH* and crew will also bring in extra
production and screens in order to try and make this the ultimate *OPETH* live experience. The band promise a very varied setlist and songs that have never been played live before. The setlist will boast no less than four songs that haven't been performed on American soil and several others that haven't been played for years.

*OPETH* will launch the much-anticipated second stage of their *Ghost Reveries Tour* in North America, beginning on February 15 in Raleigh, NC. In tow on this outing will be *DARK TRANQUILLITY* supporting directly and *THE DEVIN TOWNSEND BAND* as openers in February and labelmates *DEVILDRIVER* as openers in March.

Holidays were kind of boring but it was nice seeing my family.
I adopted a bunny for my birthday! His name is Arrow and I will post pictures of his ADORABLE self later. He is a little camera shy still. He likes the computer though. He hopped right on the keyboard and broke my e key. What a...

Watching the rabbit push the hamster around in the ball would be kinda funny.. (well, as long as you aren't the hamster... smile )

You definately need to keep an eye on them when they are out and about though.. they are smart little buggers that find all sorts of creative ways to cause trouble.. smile

Finally done exams ! phew!
My last one was this morning, and it was just ridiculous. If anyone got less than 80 on that exam they probably:
a) Were in the wrong room...they were actually looking for the day care.
b) Were on shrooms and ended up drawing swirls of marvelous colour all over the page.
c) Were dead
But i'm definitely not complaining....except that...
