Things have been looking up a bit. I had an awesome day on Tuesday. I spent a lot of time with my friends, which I hadn't done in a long time, and spent some time with myself. I went to the gym for the first time in a long while and it felt so good I was actually happy and excited the whole rest of the day.

I did a lot of thinking, I guess, and even though its scary I'm looking forward to this journey of self-discovery I have ahead of me. I got a tattoo on Thursday to mark the start.

It's an image from my favourite movie ever....hedwig and the angry inch, from a song called the origin of love. Basically the story goes that once upon a time humans were like two people stuck together back to back, but as one. They started causing trouble down on Earth and the gods got fed up, and Zeus decided to split them in half. People became these lonely creatures, roaming the Earth, searching for the person that could make them whole again. Through the course of the movie, the main character gets hurt time after time by various people, and in the end, what I gather, is that instead of finding her other half, hedwig finds herself, and is able to be a complete person on her own.

So I guess this tattoo has a lot of meaning to me, because it feels like I've been ripped apart, and that half of me is all that is left. Now is my chance to explore myself and the world around me so that I can become whole again.

On the plus side, today, I set my status as single, and in the first 15 seconds I got a message from a super cute girl who seems pretty interesting. She's way too young for me.....but it was certainly a nice boost to my crushed ego.

btw...I'll post pictures of my tattoo someday. Its kind of hard to take a pic of since its on the back of my arm. I'll figure it out though...
