Well I'm not doing very good at being around...but I've actually had a life for the past lil while! CRAZY!
Last week my parents came to visit...yeah I know it sounds lame but it was actually a lot of fun, although they are an AWFUL influence on me.
They arrived Tuesday night and I took them out to the bar. This kid from work's band was playing. They are a lot of fun. I've seen them a couple times before and they are really good for a high school band.
The band is called Dancehall Free For All if you are interested in checking them out.

Anyway, as fun as that night was...my mom kept buying me tequila shots...and then my dad bought me a strongbow, and alex kept buying me beer. I know it was totally my mom's fault, but I got a little trashed.
The next day I felt so awful...and she made me move around furniture. I was not too impressed
Thursday that week I went with my parents to Rockwood to check out the place they were gonna be camping (they stayed in a camper in my driveway the two previous nights.)
It was pretty nice, and I took a lot of pics with my mom's camera...but of course she has yet to send them to me. It was sweet though...hiking trails...a beach...old ruins...caves...waterfalls. I totally did some spelunking.
The weekend following that week my roomies and I went to Toronto to see Opeth. We stayed at a hotel...ate sushi...and had breakfast at 2:30am. It was a good time minus the people yelling in the room beside us. There was yelling and crying, and "bitch! get out of the shower"....and then I guess they made up because they started fucking. We were all really high, and we thought it was really funny so we just laughed and laughed and eventually I think that shut them up. The next day we took the bus home and celebrated free hamburger day at harvyes!! w00t! yum. harveys veggie burgers are kinda awesome.
Now...the Opeth show. I still don't know what I thought about it. New band members....bunch of stupid kids in the audience....and they opened with Demon of the Fall. That may not mean much to any of you, but if you knew any better you'd be screaming blasphemy. It was okay though. The lights were really trippy, and Mikael Akerfeldt entertained us with his silly Swedish sense of humour. It just felt a little wrong without Peter Lindgren and with so goddamn many dumbass children at that show. At least the show made Alex start to love them a little. I've been working on that since we started dating like...3 and a half years ago, and finally the day has come when all he wants to listen to is Opeth. A job well done.
That brings us to last night....went out to the bar not expecting much. There was a guy with a guitar playing pretty typical stuff...until he started playing the cure...and radiohead...and smashing pumpkins...and peter gabriel. It was pretty sweet because I'm so damn sick of hearing the same thing every time I go to a bar and its open mike night or theres a lame generic band playing. I mean, this guy was generic, but at least he had decent taste in music.
Anyway I didnt really expect to drink much but Alex seemed to think I needed to get drunk, so he convinced our friend Lisa to help him out with that. It seemed to work well until Lisa got completely wasted and started molesting me. And then....then Alison got JEALOUS. She's my roommate Chad's girlfriend so that was interesting. Makes me wonder what's going on in that lil head of hers...hmm...
Anyway the night progressed, but my story will not. That's top secret business.
