The past few days I have logged onto the site thinking I was going to post a new blog, but right before I start typing I lose my motivation. I think this is due to the fact I have little to tell. But this time I thought it has been too long and I need to write something if only for myself.
Latest news on work is not particularly interesting. Inventory has now been completed and things have begun to settle a bit more. The foot traffic has certainly dropped off dramatically. Often I will go hours without conducting any transactions. Last week my boss let me off work an hour early since it was so slow. I can say though that I do believe my boss is happy with my performance, off all the people hired in my group I am the only one left. Plus I am one of the few associates that has been consistently scheduled with 5 days a week with regular 6-8 hour shifts. Also on a positive note the girl at work who would bother me, has toned it down. I think she has started to accept that WE will never happen.
I had the day off today and would have liked to visit the theater to catch a flick but yet again there was nothing that interested me. Maybe next week. I had to settle for more DVDs. I purchased the second season of Home Movies, The Protector and Employee of the Month. I am watching The Protector now and I like it so far, Tony Jaa is very impressive. The DVD has two discs, one with the US theatrical release and the other with the International release. The difference being, the first disc is dubbed in English and has been shamefully edited to a mockery of a film. The International version on the second disc is in the original Thai language track with English subtitles this version does more justice to the film. I am not giving this movie higher praise than it deserves but I certainly would not appreciate the way it was chopped if it were my movie.
