In the past 24 hours...

I went off on an insane guy for talking bad about a friend. It's was quite liberating.

I went to a screening of my film for a 48 hour film competition.

At the screening, they announced Todd Solondz was going to come into town to screen his film and do a Q & A. We will be allowed to meet him. (When it comes to directing, Sam Raimi is my idol. When it comes to writing, Todd Solondz is my model.)

I went to a friend's party and met up with a chic that I'd crossed paths with some time ago. She was in town as a judge for a debate team. She took me back to her motel room.

I came home at noon. I reeked of pot, beer, and cigarette smoke-the typical smell of a party. There was a text message on my phone that read, "Thanks a lot, for nothing...a friend." Turns out a friend of mine (a girl) was trying to pick up this chic as well. Oh well, my lesbian friends are well known for stirring up unnecessary drama.

It was cold and dreary outside, but I felt great. My night was good, and I finally got more then four hours of sleep.

I popped in Hail to the Thief, took a scolding hot shower, and just sat in a fetal position for a good thirty minutes.

I dried off, put on some pajama pants, fixed a pot of coffee, and threw on some Thelonious Monk and go ready for what was going to be a long day of reading and writing papers, but first, e-mail check.

Sure enough, those wacky Nail guys (the Nine Inch ones) had sent an e-mail with their tour dates. Two of them are in Atlanta, and tickets will be on sale at a time when I will be at home.

Right now, life is really nice.
