To throw my 2 cents into the Florida verdict...

I am furious over this decision. There was no excuse for a pathetic self-appointed loser of a vigilante to be "out on patrol" pretending he's a cop on surveillance. There was no excuse for him to have been carrying a loaded gun. And there was absolutely no excuse for him to presume to walk up to someone walking down a street and demand an explanation for being there. George Zimmerman was nothing more than an armed whackjob stalker in the commission of a crime... a crime that led to the tragic death of an innocent young man. With this in mind, he should've been charged and convicted of 1st Degree Murder Special Circumstances. But he was not... and we must confront the inescapable conclusion that this is because Trayvon Martin was African American. It seems a black person in this country isn't entitled to object to and resist harassment from a psychotic redneck wannabe. And it seems that it's legal to kill him if he does.

It is my hope that African Americans understand that fury over this decision does not run solely across racial lines. Many of us white people, and those of other races, share your grief and outrage over this decision. My sympathies go out to Trayvon Martin's family, as well as my hopes that their young son's death will not have been in vain. That somehow in the wake of this injustice, we will build meaningful change for America's dream of true equality, and everyone's right to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.

So...I shouldn't point out that they're both minorities, the location where they lived isn't exactly a safe area, and the media circus was ridiculous? That said, mistake was getting out of the car, thus should have been manslaughter because he could have prevented the need for self-defense.

If you wanna be pist about a recent judgement, then look at the "warning shot" case.
