Just a short FYI blog today... a couple of things that might be interest to some of you.

The first is a kind of disconcerting thing, for those of you who post phone-cam pix,
here at SG, or anywhere on the web.

You know all of our phones have a GPS tracking chip. And those more advanced
phones, like the Blackberry or iPhone, depend on the GPS for many of their functions,
like nav-maps, finding resturants and such.

Well it seems that the GPS data, that indentifies a phones location, is imbedded into
phone-cam pix, and can be extracted, decoded and read. This means if you post a
phone-cam photo, the location the photo was taken, as well as the date and time,
can be easily discovered. If enough photos are collected from online, a fairly
complete portrait of your life can be available to some pretty creepy people...
stalkers, thieves, sexual predators and the like.

On a lighter note...
I found this really cool site called Dragon Weave Jewelry.
That sell a variety of jewelry, ranging from gothic, eclectic spiritual,
whimsical, Kanji etc...

I ordered a silver Kanji pendant, it arrived in just a few days,
and it is beautiful ! Rarely have I been so pleased with something
I've ordered online.

Its got a little something for almost everyone...
I highly recommend this site.

Not much of interest to report in my life otherwise right now...
so I'll just end it here I guess.

Please do check it out.

As for the center of attention, not really, but it was ok being the butt of the day's joke for everyone. Ha! biggrin
