Hey @robertbluesman !!! So... I'm not completely sure I'm legally allowed to have chickens 🐔 🤷‍♀️ Some advice I can give tho! #1 don't gets boy chickens!! They're loud and don't lay eggs! You don't NEED them and they'll alert your neighbors to the fact that you have them. The girls are super quiet. My neighbors probably don't even know I have chickens . #2 Coops are super cheep. You can get a great one for a few hundred bucks!although I know people who have made their own for cheaper out of almost anything. Main ingredient is chicken wire! #3 they're not that messy or smelly (at least not in my opinion) I've had horses and pigs before so to me, chickens are super easy. Just feed and water. I clean out the coop once a week, takes maybe 15 minutes. #3 I'm not sure how available it is, but I have a special "coop hay" that absorbs the smell, works well and after you clean it out of the coop, it can be used as fertilizer/mulch! I hope you consider getting some! 🐔🐔💕
