Feeling a little sorry for myself...
...but at the same time somewhat content. I have an eye infection. Mmmm. Lovely. On the downside, i have pink-eye which is irritating in more than one way and the ointment makes my eyesight fuzzy. On the plus side- i have a week off work! Hoorah! Am now meant to be working regular mondays and saturdays and alternate thursdays/fridays. But i'm bored. And i'm not getting paid enough. I can do that job now. I want another challenge. I need your opinions. Can i leave my job and piss off a boss who has been nothing but nice, if a little demanding at times, remembering i think she thinks i'm there for the long run? Hm. Answers at the bottom please. Am staying with Pete in his new house at the mo, which is lovely but single bed... Gr. I have cooked for the last couple of nights, bless Delia Smith at www.deliaonline.com. So far we've had Italian Stuffed Aubergines (With a few amendments due to lack of expensive ingredients.) and tonight we had Madras Eggs and Spinach with Tomato Cachumber (All ingredients present and correct. Minus the paprika. Tabasco served nicely.) I am also following the South Beach diet. Laugh all you will. It seems to be a low fat Atkins which can only be good. But quite frankly i could have thought that up myself. Ho hum. We shall see. I have taken the second important step after writing my extended essay plan. I went to the library. As per usual, most the books i actually wanted were nowhere to be seen despite the computer telling me they were there. So instead of running up and down from the fourth floor to the main desk (at this point i would like to remind you that the Templeman Library at Kent is one of the five largest in Europe) i picked books which looked right and went home with my nice new summer bag heavy with knowledge. I hope. Now i have to write the damn thing. I really should take advantage of this time off work to do some good reading, but my eyes hurt. I'll see how i feel.
