My first job was at Arby's. I started there my senior year of high school, and worked there all the way up until I left for College. I tried to put my two weeks notice in before I left, but my supervisors wouldn't let me. They said that I could work when I came home on breaks, but I had to let them know a week in advance so they could put me on the schedule.
Because I've never had my license, when I was working there I had to get a ride from one of my supervisors. When I came home from school for the first time, I texted my supervisor asking when I needed to be ready to be picked up, she replied saying that she had been fired two weeks prior. No one ever said anything to me, and now I had no way of getting to work. So this time when I said I couldn't come back they had no choice but to accept my resignation.
