Last night I got bored and decided to r-pierce my labret. I got it four years ago, and had to take it out about 2 years ago for work (damn work). It never really healed properly, only about 2/3, and when I found an old labret stud I decided to see if i could repierce it with that, and see whether it would hurt.
Now, logically you would think that it would, seeing as a stud is basically blunt. But i thought, i should be able to at least get a 16 gauge bar through! And after a few seconds, lo and behold, it went right through. Didn't even hurt (kind of disappointing, but still), so i pushed the 14g stud through after that. It didn't even bleed or anything.

But it's nice to have it back. I wonder what work will say!

Starting uni tomorrow. Off to learn all about the Crusades, the Crusades, and after that, the Crusades. 9 days intensive (3 hrs a day-ha!) so shouldn't be too bad. And you guessed it -I'm doing a subject on the Crusdades. What can I say, I love history. I guess it's really an escape from the present day. Aptly described by Douglas Adams, ""Human beings, who are almost unique in having the ability to learn from the experiences of others, are also remarkable for their apparent disinclination to do so."

So in about 3 hours, I shall arise and make an end to my holidays.

Night all,
amaranthe

History is definitely fascinating and was always one of my favourite areas of study... seeing as I'm deferring from uni for the upcoming semester, I hereby bestow upon you all the academic luck I won't be using for the next six months or so.

Also eeek you're a Chalice fan. They're amazing, and really need to come to Brisbane.
