Today's one of the greatest days of my life because I've been accepted into a Musical Theatre degree! ^_^ I'm really glad of it! It's been a long time I've been studying things that, well I liked because I was studying English and Ancient Languages and I really love them, but I liked them as hobby not as to dedicated all my life working because of it.
Music has always being my dream since I was a little girl. I remember composing stupid songs about everything since I was 6 or 7 and going to sleep imaging myself singing in music videos and things like that.
I argued so many years with my parents to make them realize that wasn't just a childhoom dream, that being a singer is what I really wanted to do with my life. So, finally, two years ago I started to study a Modern singing and being the lead singer and composer of some bands which, finally, Suicidal Ducks it's the band where I'm right now and I can say proudly that's one of the emerging pop punk bands well known in the area of Barcelona (on summer we're recording our first EP :3)
Once more, my parents and I had lately big arguments about my future, especially with my stepfather, who don't support me a lot, and well, I try to make them understand what I really want to do and what really motivates me, because music saved my life and I wouldn't be here if it weren't for it and it's still my salvation to fight everytime my demons tell me to destroy me. They kept telling me that they wanted me to get a degree and I showed them that music it's also a degree even though it's not well recognize for the government so, I told them about the existence of a Musical Theatre degree and they seem, at least for now, agree with it. So, I went today to an interview and entrance test and... I'm in!!!
I hope finish this degree succesfully in 4 years and little by little prepare more things with Suicidal Ducks. My dream's coming true! ^_^
This is a beginning of a new great era!!!
