There lays an isle to the distant north of this land that stands as testament to the accomplishments of man, both large and small. From shore to shore stretch unbelievably tall buildings that strain the neck from the passers-by level. What goes on up in such dwellings can be only guessed at by the folks who pass by in throngs on a minutely basis. Indeed as high as these marvels may go there lay, in labyrinthine fashion, series of maze like tunnels the knowledgeable may use to transverse the land quickly for the topside has it's way of filling up with the commotion of loud and angry beasts that are too eager to complain at the first sign of non-movement.

Indeed every space imaginable is made ready for the occupation and making a living for all the people of all the kingdoms of the world. They dwell in invisibly marked off boundaries wherein they try to recreate the home from which they've strayed with like minded folk. These miniature country-states dot across the cityscape and are a marvel to behold.

To the north of the scape lays one such division. The gatherings of the proud people of ivory and golden coast lines have made it their home for generations before and intrepid new comer showed up.

The skies hung low in an unwelcoming manner when a man, at an olden age in his youth, stepped out from his caravan's shade to view a place to call his own. He had stopped along a sharp valley line where midsized mountain foothills had been twain by some river long dried out. On the eastern side laid an auspiciously red painted doorway made hearty materials unknown to the traveler.

He was told of this spot by an acquaintance and had decided to investigate for a dwelling was in dire need. The tipper had failed to mention in the tip just how precarious the climb would be to an unoccupied den. He huffed to himself as he made it too the top, hand over hand, and found a set markings located along the wall. "Two snakes, one drunk at the other's feet," he had said to himself as he began to figure out how he was told to get unlock the passage way. He stood there for a minute or two as he ran his hand through his almost nonexistent hair, and it came back to him. One foot hill then two before the range. Couldn't be something easier, he thought and smiled.

The wall gave way without much pause as the phrase was spoke aloud leaving an air of dust to meet him. A swipe of his right hand cleared his sight as he squinted to peer into the darkness ahead. The rough shapes of a cooking hearth could be made out then it seemed as if it opened into nothingness. Slowly he walked forward. As he grew closer to the vacant space he could slowly see two sets of holes allowing what little day light there was to be that day in.

Standing at frame of the expanding walls he let out a short grunt. "Will take some doing," echoed for a space within the chamber.
