You know that feeling you get when you run into a great deal on something that you couldn't afford but really needed?

I'm kinda rocking that feeling right now. I have an ex-step-daughter who is turning 18 on June 16th, and after I let her play around with my Canon 40D, she was pretty much done with point and shoots. So for her birthday I bought her a Minolta 450si with a 35-70mm lens to get a little SLR experience before she considered going digital. I was pretty specific about scouring Craigslist for a used Minolta because I knew my local Kits store had tons of Minolta gear on clearance. I went and picked her up a close out flash, for all of $15 and a 28mm prime for another $30 only to look over and find a Sigma 500 Super DG flashgun sitting in a 50% off bin marked at $118. I snapped it up and took it to a counter where they quoted me $47. Alright it's just a flash, but it has a built in optical trigger that makes it a plug and play option to go along with my sudio strobes.

I even had a light stand and flash head umbrella mount sitting in a box just waiting for the day I could afford a flash head for them. I put it together today and I'm feeling no pain
