It's a funny thing about other people questioning your motives... it turns out, it's the ones where it comes from people questioning their own similar motives that sting the most. But knowing that makes it a lot easier to take.

I got a call from a friend the other day, which got cut short, as we're both very busy girls. She started to hint at troubles she's been having. I called her back, she couldn't much get into it as she was at work, but she might as well have been narrating my reactions during the past few months. I told her some things that had helped me, I told her she needed to email me or call me when she could talk. I have faith she'll be okay, but I know how much she's hurting right now, and I wish I could make that go away for her. So many friends in such unfortunate relationship circumstances lately, it hurts my heart to see.

And yet, I'm in an exceedingly good mood today, despite what that last paragraph would lead you to believe. I'm not even completely sure why, but I don't care. I'm enjoying it.

And I'm looking forward to celebrating some awesome boy's birthday tomorrow.
