Okay, just went on a minor testimonial-rampage.

Have a merry christmas, all! kiss
P.S. More cuteness than should be allowed by law.

I'd be in town until early tomorrow morning when I leave for SF. But the decision is still pending. I will definitely be back through in early January though...

Very sorry to hear about the straits, hon, but I hope you have a fabulous holiday this year despite it all! Merry Christmas! kiss

My biggest excitement in the near term is the impending purchase of a new car. I've been emailing back and forth with about 4 different dealers, and the upshot is it doesn't look like all the usual end-of-year stuff is going to help with regards to getting me a better price (hooray for the S-plan!) so I guess I'm going to wait to get just...

Yeah, I cook at Taqueria Nueve near Laurelhurst.

I mostly just dig the picture, I haven't really ever seen Alton Browns show (no cable)- Though his website rocks, mostly. Well, it's nice to meet you. Merry X-Mass!

What party was it, Kevin's? Must have been. ?

Moving within Portland? I'm sorry, I went back, sped-read a few Journals, but couldn't tell (also, sorry about your dad's health problems and... did the cat regularly come into the shower? Our cat lives in the hallway bathroom now [for some weird reason, in her 16th year, she's decided the toilet is the best place to sit all day] but she wouldn't stand for getting wet at all. She just gets annoyed/ a bit freaked when I shower [but still lies on the toilet]).

My last Comment- might indicate too much Smiths-listening... which isn't to say my romantic life isn't a disaster, but... I've mostly just been sitting at home all year, so it's not to be unexpected that I'm not dating.

Application for crushing:

Moss is a Portland-based market-leading crush-er. Slow-paced, results-oriented girl looking for just the right person with a mix of humor, integrity, drive, customer focus and a proven track record of success and experience.

The role of the Crush-ee is to be the object of lust and affection, creating and maintaining a sense of general well-being and general lower-torso warmth.

Essential job functions:...

"a proven track record of success and experience." Uhhh, next!

16, clumsy, and shy/ that's the story of my life
brokenbeatnik:
Thanks! I had a lot of fun responding to that one.

I don't know it, but then again I am neither young nor hip.
brokenbeatnik:
I owe you music. I will do soon.

You should post your crush application. I imagine the answers would be amusing.

Calm...totally calm...
I just don't care enough to succumb to their shit now. I can feel the irritation like a little voice in the back of my mind and I feel sorry for her. But I can't listen to her now, she's boring.
bankerboy:
Sid Vicious?
hansel:
Less things should be boring. More things should be fun. Non stop fun. Like a roller coaster that doesn't make you sick.

I'm really, really liking this un-holiday thing. 3 years running now, my xmas celebration will be at most just hanging out with my Dad for lunch at some point. Very low stress, low commitment. Happy. smile

The set up for Dvorak confuses me and I have to look down to see what I am typing. Exaggerated but I am easily peeved if something takes me out fo a small comfort zone one a simple task like typing.

RE: Chronic of Narnia Rap - as far as I know Chris Parnell & Andy Samberg are SNL cast members... I have no idea what they did before, music-wise. I know that Chris Parnell has done rap skits before on SNL. I was just laughing my ass off when I saw it on tv, I had to share. "Quiet in the theater or it's gonna get tragic - We're 'bout to get taken to a dream world of magic." Pass the chronic...(what? -cles of narnia) indeed! biggrin

My horoscope today:
Someone seems to be taking a great delight in being difficult. You say one thing and they say something completely different simply to irritate you. They might also come up with some ideas that sound wacky or crazy to you, or which touch a nerve and make you angry. Try not to let this person get to you to such an extent....

It is a bad habit. Right now i just try to shut up and leave.

I don't like to judge people I haven't met too harshly- but what a humongal tool this gent sounds to be!

I've had some people bring me down, and break up with me, and really bring me down, but I've yet to have anyone "ruin my life" as if I wasn't able to try to better it of my own accord instead of whining about someone else's control over me. I mean, please. whatever

Congrats to you having control over yourself, anyway! Maybe he'll learn from the example.

Well, that was an exceptionally excellent weekend. I'm now completely exhausted, but it's a well-earned exhaustion. The BC folks showed us a great time, I got to spend quality time with PoisonOak, Milo and Hansel. The snow and ice on the roads right now is pretty hellacious, but thankfully Milo and BrokenBeatnick arranged for an SUV with 4WD, so we made it back...

hey! It was great meeting you!

I hope that was just the first trip of many!!

Glad y'all had such a good time. I wish I could have gone too, but I did need to get back home for a second. Next year, let's all go for no good reason some weekend.

I never thought a conference call would make me teary. My boss for the last 6 years just announced his resignation. On the one hand it could mean more travel and press, which always makes me happy. On the other, A) he's like family and I'll miss him like mad, and B) he shields us from a hell of a lot of politics and bullshit....

(this is embarassing-) I think I confused ladybelmont and you earlier and wrote that she did it... but then I was thinking, "Maybe she did beat me, after all?" But I don't think so... but I was looking at the floor at the time, so...
The funny little story I edited out of my Comment to her was this- while taking a shower on Sunday and Monday, I'd feel this pain while soaping my butt and I was wondering what it was. It wasn't til the second time that I realized, "Oh yeah, hickory switch and riding crop, duhh"- like how could I not realize that Sunday morning?
cheech:
I think I'm just a dummy for the confusion... well, that and being on dial-up. I was trying to get through the who-was-who-in-Portland process fast, ex. a blurry pic of a quarter of someone's face leading to a "definite match," and so on.

ps- Oh, I also have had some weird sick symptoms! Cold-like symptoms at night and morning that go away in the afternoon. This is kinda scary to me since 1) it's a lot like the bronchitis I got in June, 2) unlike then, I'm not on health insurance right now. :^/
Rather than get all panicky, I just picked up some green tea Ricolas for now. They're pretty gross. I've never been one for mint tea.
