Hey, I actually have something to post for once! We'll start with the knitting, because, well, I'm excited about it.

Remember this?

Okay, well, so far it looks like this:

Except that when I tried it on it was fitting so unbelievably well that I just had to go ahead and add on the neckband, which made the neckline perfect in a cleavage-framing sort of way, and start a sleeve because I was so very excited at the prospect of making a sweater that I'll actually wear all the time. You don't even understand how monumentous that is because you haven't seen my stash of sweaters that I hardly ever wear. I'm not just talking about ones I've made, people; we're talking storebought too. The whole point of me learning to knit (well, aside from that first winter when I couldn't afford to buy gifts) was so that I could make myself sweaters that would actually fit. So far it's been more of a learning experience than anything, but this time I think I may have a winner. At this point time and sleeve progression will tell, but as it stands the body of this thing is the perfect hipbone-hugging length and skims right over my curves without plastering itself to me or hanging off of my chest .

Seriously, perfect.

Okay, you sat through that rather well, so now you get pictures of me getting a needle shoved through my nose

and a better picture of the final product (natural light, anyone?)

Oh wait! I didn't tell you about the wedding yet! Let's sum it up in a series of points:

-I drank for 12 hours straight on the day of the wedding but never achieved more than a low-level buzz.
-The ceremony was brief, adorable, completely nonreligious, and punctuated briefly by my little sister bursting into tears from the overwhelming....ness.....of it all.
-My mother and I somehow both managed to end up in dresses that put our boobs into attack standby mode. They spent the evening trying to leap out at the slightest provocation until we both wised up and changed clothes.
-There was an embarrassing slideshow, courtesy of my mother's.........er......well, I guess he's her husband now.
-I really really tried very hard to be on my best behaviour, but somewhere halfway through the raspberry cosmopolitan my brain started to preach from its almost permanent place in the gutter. Fortunately everyone else was far more inebriated than I, so this didn't ruin my relationship with anyone present. I think.
-We're gonna need a montage.

In other news, work has been painfully boring.

Happy about the sweater. That must be so satisfying. I also take that you're not knitting for everyone this year as presents?

Needle! eeek

Sounds a lovely wedding. They're always brilliant when there's emotion and drink perfectly combined. Plus, this is a lovely photo.

Believe it or not, I wish I could actually knit. I think making my own scarf's and gloves would be cool. I watched Wedding Crashers last night..now if every wedding was like the ones in that film...I'd start crashing them tongue
