As for what I've been doing other than knitting, well, I transferred to a different store. This one is less than 10 minutes away from me, which is nice, but it's also a manual store, which is really weird for me. You see, before Wednesday I'd never used a cash register before. Ever. Yes, I've used plenty of computers with attached cash drawers, but never an actual cash register. That plus the reams of manual paperwork, an entirely new group of people to be responsible for, and a strange new store layout have all combined to make the last few days quite stressful. Yesterday they tried to get me to come in and cover for one of the myriad of employees who like to call in sick all the frelling time, but I really just didn't want to go anywhere, so instead I watched DVDs and knit.
Other than that, it's just been lots of storminess. The kind that involves 50mph winds, hail, and enough rain to somehow drench my windowsill despite weatherproofing and a considerable overhang above my windows.
Also, I've been watching Christopher Walken dance like whoa to Fatboy Slim for something like hours. Despite my sexual preference, I must say: Walken is a sexy man. ^_^
Trivia: _DG_ says she'd be surprised if I didn't find Walken attractive because he's apparently quite feminine. I honestly had no idea.
