Last night, a coworker of mine, Megan, invited me to a party. I don't usually like parties, I'm a bit socially retarded But I agreed to go cause I like Megan. So I got there early and was able to hang out with Megan and her roommate in her apartment, had a pretty good time there.

Then we went to the neighboring apartment for the party and, as expected, I was really awkward and uncomfortable. I just sat around and watched everyone have fun and play beerpong (I had to drive home so I could only drink two beers). Megan got pretty hammered.

Finally, the party was wrapping up. I stopped by Megan's apartment to say goodbye and leave my contact info. Megan was kinda upset. "I didn't mean to get this drunk in front of you." Which is kind flattering if you think of it. Why would she worry about seeming drunk if my opinion of her didn't matter. I let her know that I was just happy to be able to hang out with her outside of work. I think, at the very least, I made a new friend and that makes me happy.
