Fall is finally here! Woo-HAA!!! I can't tell you how excited I am to be able to sleep with the windows open. A/C is all well and good but, there ain't nothing like "fresh" New York air.

Weekend was great. A friend came in from Jersey and we navigated the city. Damn rain knocked out the 1, 2, 3 and 9 which was my lifeline I needed to use just for the day. $40 in cab rides later and I'm rather sad...

Got to see the New York farewell performance of Kiki and Herb, though. As always, they rule. Sad to see Justin Bond go, though. Good luck to whatever it is he's doing...

Also think I got hit on in Starbuck's yesterday. Not one to have that happen too often it gets lost on me quite a bit. Standing there, sleepily, chin rested in my hand, waiting for my beverage and this woman sidles up next to me. Cute. Asks me if I'm a writer. Not sure of what I heard I ask her to repeat the question. Find out I looked like I'd be a writer, to her. The exchange goes no further, of course, as the lad and missus are a few feet behind me. Made a show of hugging my son for some reason. Guilt? Flattering incident none the less...
