I got fantastic news yesterday that actually made me excited to go back to school again.

A professor of mine called me yesterday with a proposal. He knows I'm planning a trip to Europe this summer and called me to let me know of a grant or something we could write in which we would work together to produce a final product and get funding for this product. Our final product would be me presenting a paper at the International Philosophy Conference in Athens this summer, not only giving me a huge plus towards graduate school but $3,000 for my trip if we get the grant. I'm so fucking excited and motivated and ready to re-join the academic community.

I spent $500 on books yesterday. Jesus. Between women's studies and english I'm required to buy bags full of books.
