I brought two new cats home today from the animal shelter. Whether this will mean more or less SGing for me is yet to be determined; I guess it depends on whether they will sit quietly in my lap while I'm on the computer, or try to get onto the keyboard (what my wife calls "accessing the secret kitty web sites"). I read somewhere about software that would detect the characteristic keypress pattern produced by stray paws and temporarily deactivate keyboard input, so as to avoid cat-induced changes to your documents...

More later, but don't get your hopes up. I find writing about myself a torturous, self-conscious, hair-pulling process.
