Just got back from seeing Batman Begins...I liked it a lot. It seemed more real to me once I got into it. The Burton films always had that Adam West era feeling to them with the "POW" effects. This one reminds me of the Comics written in the 80's and 90's that were, to be perfectly frank, trerrifying. You encounter this batman who is far from the pun-toting outlaw of the tv series. Instead he is this brutal and rabid enforcer for the defensless who gets caught up in plots that, while compltely outrageous, are still somewhat related to his "Quest" I was so excited at the end. Sure there were parts that made me want to gag, like whenever batman speaks in his fake rought voice to disguise his true identity. That and the full on fight scenes with the hand held camera. It's something that's been frustrating me for the past five years in mvoies when they show two people brawling with a handheld. You don't see anything and you just tune out until it's stable again. Sometimes I literally feel sick. I saw a complaint about one scene like this that I didn't mind though, when he attacks the drug runners...but it made sense to me, si whatever.

In addition to the movie, I saw Previews for Charlie and the Chocolate Factory...I was mad that I watched it afterwards because it sort of spoiled all the good surprises...fucking marketers...

I also saw one for "The Brothers Grimm" considering you can't even begint o recognise Heath Ledger, they should have totally made Damon wear the nose even if he didn't want to...

Finally...I'm really excited because I found out about "Serenity" which is either A) a Film adaptation of the fox series "Firefly" that got, unfortunately, canceled. or B) an entirely new storyline in addition to the original series. Either way it kicks fucking ass!
