Yeah- 5-6-7-8's rock, but QT is played. Res. Dogs and Pulp were amazing in hundreds of ways, but now I think he's tired. The word Simulacra comes to mind - Style and with no substance.

I know QT is god in these parts and that my blasphemy is complete and grounds for banishment, but Kill Bill I & II left me wanting. 10 or 15 years ago that stylized violence witty repartee, and great music and were cutting edge and QT was the mastermind, now hes done in my humble opinion. He may still have good films to make, but KB I & II werent them. His bag of film references is supposed to be huge so needs to reach in that bag of tricks and come up with something new. Maybe he should look further than unsung kung fu flicks and Hong Kong noir for influence.

Wes Anderson (Rushmore, Tenenbaums ) and Alexander Payne (Election, About Schmidt, Sideways) are on the other hand brilliant with style & substance.
