seeking help about suspension:

ok, i am of mayan decent, born and raised in the US...i'm planning a backpacking trip through the yucatan and i'm looking to do some ritualistic passage into manhood type of suspension, hoping my roots will gain me access...anyone have any info or anyone to refer me to?...
