I had this weird dream about heaven last night. It seemed so real... when I woke up in the morning I seriously was like... positively sure that it must be true and I was all teary-eyed like somebody had actually died and gone there. There was this funny old wise-looking white guy who was leading the person who died across this field off into the horizon. It looked a lot like the field behind the house where I grew up, except the field didn't end. The old guy was walking that way that old guys do, with his hands clasped behind his back, and they were shooting the breeze like it was a trip down to the corner store or something.

When was the last time you went walking in a field... like a meadow or something with real grass and plants that wasn't like... a little island park in the middle of a city. Maybe it just seems bigger when you're a kid.

So... yeah. According to my dream, heaven is on the other side of a field and there's an old white guy who leads you there on a sunny afternoon.
