My mom say this sometimes "I've haven't seen you for a while." This happens when I fall asleep before she comes home from work or something else.

Well I'm sleeping in bed so it wouldn't be a problem to see her right? But what she meant was seeing me awake with my consciousness present.

This made me think, wouldn't that mean when you sleep you are leaving behind just a shell of flesh until wake but wouldn't that be a different consciousness in you instead?
