Adventures in motorcycling....
Sunday, Harold (a friend from work) went up to Mark Bowen Motorcycles in Chatham to test ride some bikes. I test rode this one:
a kawasaki Z750. It's pretty nice and very similar to the Hornet 600 I have now. It has a bit more power and a bit more torque and after riding it for awhile I almost forgot I was riding the Z750 and not my Hornet.
On the way to Chatham, I picked up a rock between the radiator and the fan on my Hornet. This jammed the fan which, in turn, caused the engine to overheat. I noticed this when the temp gauge went into the red zone (unusual). I pulled over, removed the rock and continued on...but the temp gauge was still in the red...Ahah! The stone must have caused the fuse for the radiator fan to blow, so I pulled over, checked the fuse, and sure enough, it was blown...so I put the spare fuse in, tested the fan and continued on my journey...The temps went down eventually.
I was rather proud of myself
