On the bill:
Vanton
Two Day Rule
Bungalow Zen
Planet of Women
I was pretty impressed with Vanton. They were pretty confident and looked like they were enjoying themselves. Too bad they didn't have a bigger audience...
Check them out at www.vanton.net
Two Day Rule. I've seen them several times before and they usually do good, high energy sets. It's a 4 piece Bristol based band that features 2 guitarist/vocalists, Neil Murray and Andrea Kenny. I guess you would call their sound as "melodic, high-energy punk".
Check them out at www.twodayrule.com
Bungalow Zen. To be honest, I wasn't paying that much attention to them because I was drinking at that point. They were sort of "old school" rock I guess. Their fans seemed happy with them but they didn't catch my fancy...enough said...
Their website is www.bungalowzenn.com
Planet of Women. More of a cabaret act, perhaps something you would see in Las Vegas. The band consisted of a Janis Joplinesque singer with two blond, long-haired backing singers. The act was sort of choreographed so much "pumping of arms" and "flipping of hair" ensued...the guys loved it...actually, I think everyone enjoyed it! I don't know if they really fit into the billing though....

So in summary....A rockin' good time!
