Journey to the land of the Yam-Yam's
Saturday morning I picked the bike from Doble's after it's 16000 mile service. The first thing I noticed was they set idle speed a little higher...it also sounds a little different. There's a slight whine that I hadn't noticed before. Also it sounds a little less "rattlely". Maybe they really did check the valves!
Anyway, taking lillitatiana's advice, I went to see my friend in Birmingham. She live's on the west side of Birmingham which is the "Black Country" (a reference to coal I think). One of the nicknames for Black Country inhabitants is "yam-yam". This is allegedly due to the peculiar way they speak. It's kind of a sing-song, "yam yam yam" type of dialect...I don't really see it myself but that's what I was told.
Anyway, it was a fast, but boring trip up the M40 to Halesowen. We hung out for a bit and then went to see HellBoy. It wasn't as bad as a I thought and it was kind of entertaining, actually
I went home Sunday afternoon down the M5 and then across on the A44. I took a brief detour to Stratford (Bill Shakespeare!) because I'd never been. I didn't stay long but it looked nice but kind of touristy. I'll have to go back some other time to see it properly.
Anyway, the rest of the trip was uneventful and I eventually got home at 10 pm. The weather was great for riding and the bike was running great!
Been anywhere interesting?

Bye, see you later...
Ron Jeremy: A while ago, a guy I met took me on a date to see the taping of a cable access show, and Ron Jeremy was one of the guests. Afterwards there was this surreal meet-and-greet, and Ron Jeremy gave me a kiss on the cheek. I didn't like the guy I went there with very much, and that was the last I saw of both him and Ron Jeremy.
Have you seen the second season of The Surreal Life? Ron Jeremy was in it, along with Tammy Faye Baker, Vanilla Ice, Erik Estrada, and a bunch of other people. It was hilarious, and indeed, surreal!
