Many things from this week to be upset over.
We have Priscilla Owen confirmed as a Federal Judge, following a mindboggling cave-in compromise from 14 foolish politicians. I'd've been totally happy to have this extremist, anti-freedoms judge languish to death in gridlock, debate and filibuster. But now, she's confirmed to the appeals circuit where she can pretty well fuck over freedoms and citizens with unobstructed zeal. Our esteemed Congressional representatives have done a horrible horrible betrayal to American citizens.
We have Bushy threatening to veto the stem cell legislation. The man is *not* qualified to make these calls. Here's my prayer: one of his daughters must be diagnosed with Parkinsons or MS or some severe debilitating disease to which stem cell research might produce some cure or relief. Bush must then, as public figure, come onto stage and announce "because of my belief of the embryo being life, I condem my daughter to a life of pain, discomfort and eventually a neurological meltdown."
Only then will I admit Bush isn't most likely a hypocritical piece of shit. Otherwise, I so very much hate the son of a bitch (because personnally, someone I care deeply for has MS and I've watched the suffering for years).
