My last post a couple of weeks ago was about gay marriage, and how I'm stunned that there are people out there who are against it. Now, it's the so-called "Ground Zero Mosque." Please, we live in the greatest country in the world, one built on religious freedom and tolerance (supposedly). And yet, there are people so ginned up against the thought of a religious center being erected a couple of blocks away from the site of the downed towers that I'm literally fearing for our country. Muslims not only have a right to build there, I hope they do. I'm not insensitive to the feelings and sentiments of the victims' families, but we must say to the world that we are an accepting country. That we are better than this. We are Americans.
