I think it's great that Prop 8 was overturned in California, but for the life of me, I don't understand why there are people who opposed it in the first place. To me, it just seems so basic, two people love each other and want to get married... more power to them. I'm straight, and I plan on marrying my girlfriend (eventually, lol), but why would I care that two other people who want to get married are both men or both women? Doesn't affect me at all, unless they're friends, in which case I'll personally wish them all the best and buy them a present. I just don't get why there are people who get upset over the prospect of gay marriage.

On a separate note, I like the new Arcade Fire album The Suburbs. First one of theirs that I've bought, but it's pretty cool.
