I had three relatively small fillings today... man, I hate novocaine. The whole right side of my face is numb and my mouth is drooping. Everything went quickly, and the dentist and hygenist were cool, but I'm scared to bite or even move my mouth because I think I'll bite my tongue or the inside of my cheek and prolong the pain once the anesthesia wears off. Ugh.

Yeah. The dentist is a necessary evil. There's no way around it, as mouth pain is probably the worst next to giving birth. I wonder how many dentists are sadists. Probably most of them.
