Holy crap! I haven't updated in about 7 weeks or so. Ouch. Sorry, Homies. Just watched the Yankees SWEEP the Red Sox... nice! Still working hard; summer's been kind of a yawner (how much fucking rain have we had?); hanging in there with my gal... just kind of chillin', you know?

One thing that has me really disturbed is the decent in the level of civil political debate over the last several months. It's sad. The polarization has just reached insane heights. Everyone's to blame, but I'm going to have point a finger at the Republicans for a lot of it. I understand they're the opposition party, but seriously, if President Obama were to hold a press conference and say, "The sky is blue, what a wonder day," Republicans would counter with he's lying, it's a socialist trap, the sky's not blue, it's green yada yada yada. It's so knee-jerk it's comical. Except for the fact that they're dealing with real people with real problems. Ugh, when will the bullshit stop? Obama certainly doesn't have all the answers, and I realize that he and the Democrats gave Republicans an opening by passing a leaky stimulus bill, and by not doing a great job of selling health care reform. But, can some adults sit in a room and hash out some constructive things and not devolve into screaming at each other?
