Alas, I only saw one of the Best Picture nominees before Sunday's Oscars, "Michael Clayton." I enjoyed it, but I didn't think it would/should win. I'll have to get out to see "No Country for Old Men;" I've enjoyed the Cohen Brothers work in the past so I'm sure I'll like this one. Who's seen it?
Wow, I didn't think it was possible but the presidential campaign continues to sink to new levels. None of the top 3 (Obama, Clinton and McCain) are escaping without taking, and delivering, some cheap shots. And now Nader's gotten into the mix.
I respect Ralph Nader for all he's done for the American consumer, and I don't have a problem with him running for president, but I'd have more respect for him and his cause if he didn't parachute in at the 11th hour. Let's see him build the Green Party into a viable 3rd party, run more candidates at the local, state and congressional level. I pray he doesn't end up taking votes away from the Democratic candidate like he did with Gore in 2000 (granted, Gore didn't run a particularly strong campaign).

i also saw juno over the weekend, which got best screenplay, i think. i also thought it was pretty fantastic.
