My girlfriend is all kinds of house-obsessed. Can't wait to buy one, but she's only willing to live in a couple of way-too-expensive towns, so things aren't moving too quickly. That, and the fact that I'm not in a position financially, or professionally just yet, to go house hunting. So, this has manifested itself into her watching massive amounts of HGTV and all those house-flipping/decorating shows on TLC and A&E. I'm talking 24/7.
I can't stand it, but I try to suck it up and watch them with her.
So, today we caught this marathon of house-flipping shows on TLC. Unbelievable the mistakes some of these people make, how stupid they can be and what horrible taste they have. I'm the last person to lecture anyone on construction, real estate or decorating, but even I know that you don't bite off more than you can chew. And that it's about what a lot of people want, not what you like.
I don't really have a point, but I just had to get that off my chest.
