alleycake

So, I went to see Cake (one of my all time fav bands hence alleycake) last night in Denver for the Unlimited Sunshine Tour. Too bad Gogol Bordello like stole the show, I loved them, think gypsy rock ska? Who knows, but look them up they're like from all over the world, a really interesting back-story but I'm too lazy to relookup the details right now. So theatrical on stage, one of the girls crowd surfed on top of her drum. I can't even describe what the vibe was but the crowd was dieing for them and most of them hadnt even heard of the band ever before. Tegan and Sara were pretty good too, cute girls, huge lesbian following I dunno if they are or not but they are way cute. They have a couple popular songs but I didn't know they were by them till last night. It's always trippy hearing a band live you thought you never knew and then knowing the words to most of what they play. Anyway, it was a good show besides people trying to mosh to Cake.. and bitchy girls who think (and jock guys think) they're hot pushing to the very front of the crowd right before Cake, although I had been standing there all night to get that spot and then booty dancing to very not, booty dancing music. I wanna go to a SGCO event, you guys should keep me updated so I can meet some people and actually join the group. Or just a few of us should get together for coffee or something. Or the new hookah bar that just opened up under Alleycat which is amazing btw. Very vibeish, I was pleasantly surprised since I figured they'd just be trying to cash in on the latest trend it's suddenly developed into somehow. I think I've talked about that before. This post is getting too long. I love you.
