I just looked at Geek Love on Amazon and I applaud you for being able to wade through that language.
I have those days too, when I wake up with yearning for things like a piercing, or to dye my hair or something. It is wierd because besides the obvious primal urges, i.e. sex, food, etc... most people's actions are based on decisions made over a period of time, and not on impetuous desire.
I think surrendering to it is a good thing. Surely you can think of a not to annoying way to drum up extra cash- like temp for a day or something. Good luck.
