I already answered #1.
As for #2, I'm in that situation right now - kind of. I really dislike it in Southern California. However, I have the money to go all sorts of places and do all kinds of fun things. I'd rather be somewhere else, though. I can have a great time in a new place just walking around and exploring. If I love the place, I imagine I love it whether or not I have money (goes for people as well as places).
#3 Be uncomfortable while you're young. There's plenty of time to be boring when you're old. The unfamiliar is always more fun.

I sorta like where i'm living now. I'd choose living in a place i love with little money i suppose. Just as long as i have a lot of close friends there.
Comfort is only good for so long. It's good to experience new things.
