Good news!
My dude got a new job. He starts after we get back from our cruise to Bermuda (we are totally cruising to Bermuda in a WEEK). It's cooler, back in the confines of NYC and pays better, with promises of yearly raises and potentially a huge raise in a year. He managed to get a friend of ours his old job. Get this: because he was ready to bring someone in, the old job is PAYING FOR HIS VACATION WEEK (and they don't offer any severance).
Dude.
Plus, once he starts the new job, I can go on his insurance. At my company, if I don't use the insurance I get a 5K raise.
This is tupping awesome.
Now we can look for our new place in more areas, and we'll be able to get more for less.
I also got a haircut. I'll take pics after I color it tomorrow.
My folks are visiting from NC and have planned very poorly, so it may be a frustrating weekend. Regardless, I am going to the Met and will see the Regarding Warhol show, so that should be terrific.
It is a good time to be me. It's a good time to be us.
Now off the pick up some drugs, and my sister (separately).
