And so it continues!
I switch from panicky to excited fairly regularly, though the worst of the panic is perhaps slightly behind me, leaving me more excited than not. And that is the point, no?
My sister and I went shopping for dress fabric yesterday (yay fashion district!), seeking good ol' bridal-ready taffetta or some lovely alternative. In the first shop we picked up ideal gorgeous swathes for my bridesmaids that will further inspire the final designs. In the second we did a little swatching of expensive satins of the right texture ($50 a yard? Eeesh.), then onto a high end lace store ($125 a yard?!?) before landing in a little fabric shop (of which there are so many) having a huge close out sale.
We got gorgeous off-white silk charmeusse for... $8 a yard. That stuff usually runs $35 a yard. I got all my yardage for under $50. Now, even if we go with something else for the top layer, I will be unbelievably comfortable. Moreover, this has the makings of a $150-$200 wedding gown. Booyah.
And now, off to work, because today is a day of the week and therefore I have work.
I miss days off.
Today, please drop me a quote!
Love to y'all.
