I got a proper haircut for the first time in years. Then I colored my hair the next day. Not so crazy about the color.

This picture is not terrific (the color is a bit more consistent than it looks but not much), but at least it's an idea...



And while she's not as little and cute as she was, here's the kitten...


There are now THREE cats in this little apartment. It's more than I wanted, but I love them. My man's cat has adopted the kitten and is playing daddy so long as he doesn't think anyone is looking. It's hysterical. My little skittish cat is completely left out and hates the kitten, so she isn't getting along with big daddy either. Ah well.


It's almost my birthday. Since my man will be in rehearsal on the day itself he took my out to birthday dinner yesterday. We went to the Lobster Box on City Island, which I haven't been to in over a decade. My grandparents would take me there when I was a kid, before my grandmother died.
Being there made me so happy I couldn't stop smiling. My face actually hurt after awhile. I ate a lobster, one of my favorite foods, for the first time in some time. Apparently, if I save I can afford to now. It's a wonderful feeling.

There's so much to update!

In the next few days I will discuss the tremendous and awful things that have been happening to my family and friends very soon, but today I am glad, having just had brunch, about to relax on the couch with my favorite person.
