Grayness, thank you for the book! I was confused when I saw I got a package in the mail without having ordered anything. I'll start reading it as soon as I finish memorizing my lines in Act I.2 of The Tempest.
I had a job interview today with Lush Cosmetics (which is coo cause I already love their stuff) and it went well. I'll know on Monday if I got the job (I hope I hope). Oh, how I need money. If I get it, maybe I can start to build the life I need. Wish me luck you beautiful people!!

The first is, I suppose for Sitar...
But let us also set the scene with some important pieces of Coney Island history (I promise, only two pics of those).
First, the World Famous Cyclone, one of the oldest wooden coasters in the country left running (this year, it celebrates 80 YEARS). I think it's one of the only NYC landmarks (or for that matter, Nationally Registered Historic Places) that you can ride. It remains one of my favorite coasters EVER. Off on the left, you get see a profile of Deny's Wonder Wheel.

This next one is very much out of commission, but certainly remains iconic. The Parachute Drop:
As the first picture shows, my sister and I chose, like many on the beach that day, do disobey the signs and climb on the jetties. It was so beautiful. The climb was only slightly treacherous, but difficult enough to elicit congratulatory laugher:

They have a really old wooden roller coaster near my hometown. I remember my best friend and I always joked that we didn't want our names on the list of people who died in "The Wooden Rollercoaster Termite Tragedy".
