Yup, I finished Harry Potter #7 (at 1:30am). Best of the bunch, I think. Hope you are enjoying as well. Now I can finally go back to reading Snowcrash.
For the curious, check out my newest posted pic. Didn't turn out quite as well as I hoped, but I'm no master of the photographic self-portrait. But hey, this...

Heya
Nice pics
I'm no master of the self-portrait either - I just do headshots and spend too long editing out my red-eye! Your self-portraits are better than mine though!
The cell phone is a brilliant auxillary torch for when you don't actually have the foresight to buy a torch...or candles for that matter (Note to self: Don't bother! Use the phone and save money!)
I'm sure you'll enjoy Snow Crash as much as I did! xx

Yes, just go for it, best way to do things is not to wait around to be prepared, but to get in there and learn as you go along
Sad Sack. That's me.
It doesn't help to know you're throwing yourself a pity party if that fact only makes you angry at yourself and therefore more upset.
In my favor, it just wasn't right to find out for sure I wasn't cast by hearing from my friend that she was. Than I have the obligation to put on a real happy face to show...

It sucks that you didn't get the part. If it's something you really want then it's no wonder you pin all your hopes on it. Don't be too harsh on yourself, anyone would feel bad about it.

I have yet to here back from the folks at Elektrafire, so I'm ready to say I didn't get it. I wish they'd contact the ones they didn't cast anyway just to let us know. Really, it's the polite thing to do.

They really should tell you if you didn't get the part! It must suck to sit around and wonder
But they say as one door closes another opens, and if the door that opens has a new job and a lovely little chica behind it, how bad can that be?
Good luck with both

That opera sounds great, good luck. Love the snake, what a vibrant color.
An admission:
I've never truly been part of an online community before. Yes, I have/had a livejournal, yes I have a myspace account. I don't think that really counts in my case, since I only converse with people that I already know off-line. I have never had a relationship (friendship or any other kind) that started in the digital world.

Your comment made me think of this:
"There is no woman's sides
Can bide the beating of so strong a passion
As love doth give my heart; no woman's heart
So big, to hold so much; they lack retention
Alas, their love may be call'd appetite,
No motion of the liver, but the palate,
That suffer surfeit, cloyment and revolt;
But mine is all as hungry as the sea,
And can digest as much: make no compare
Between that love a woman can bear me
And that I owe Olivia."
Which is Orsino's speech from Twelfth Night (my favourite Shakespeare play!) and while it actually talks about how weak women are and how men can love like crazy, the "but mine is all as hungry as the sea" sort of summarises that love is not a limited quantity.
Um, well, it wasn't all that relevant, I just wanted to look smart by quoting Shakespeare, and your comment reminded me of that one line. Well, anyway, enough rubbish from me for now
Hey did you change your name?

Same for me. I've been involved on other purpose-driven forums, but I've never met anyone online that I really consider a friend until SG. It still feels a little strange to me to find myself genuinely caring so much about people that I've never met, but I like it

Alright, not completely. But I had a voice lesson that showed me a marvelous big voice that I knew was in there somewhere, waiting to come out.
What an amazing feeling.
If this change in vocal technique is as significant as I think, this could really change my life towards the positive, if only in how I see my instrument. Singing...

Hi Honey,
Isn't it incredible when you make a personal artistic breakthrough?! Whenever I produce a piece of artwork that really achieves what I want it to I am amazed. I am amazed at myself and the fact I could harness the power to convey in 2-D form my thoughts and feelings about a particular subject. I wish you well and offer my congratulations, too. Take care sweetheart and enjoy yourself! XXXOOO

And it totally got me hooked on him. Amazing film maker =)
Congrats on the vocal work, discovering power like that within yourself is always incredible ♥

I just posted this in a GLBTQ group thread, but I wanted to repost it here. I got a little riled up.

And there I had thought I had turned permanently into a nighthawk. Apparently my sleep cycle is still malleable. Unfortunately my need for lots of sleep remains unchanged. That means that after resetting my clock earlier (so I could be up at 6:30 out the door by 7:15), my body is far less happy traveling home after 1am. Well, que cera.

The pride parade was WONDERFUL.
I must march again next year, either with the pagans (which I have done), or the bisexuals (who seem to need the support).
It just made me so happy. I even cried, and not just because I got sunscreen in my eye. Is there any reason why a drag queen dressed exquisitely as Eva Peron should make me so darned...

Nice cat, she has the same coloring as a sheepdog I used to have as a little boy...my favorite dog in the whole world
Dina would work for her.
