The Piper
It starts with a single note.
Piercing,
clear,
haunting.
It lingers, hanging in the air like a crystalized breath on a winters day. Hangs for an eternity, till it seems that there is only the note, has always been the note, always will be the note. Then it shatters, dissipating in the onset of the melody.
And what a melody.
Lilting,
flowing,

talking to the trees again. there is a very pretty little oak out front of my favorite coffee shop in downtown Buffalo that everyone just ignores. it is an absolutely gorgeous specimen and its leaves have just come in and have that healthy verdant green color that never lasts longer then the first couple of weeks, you know, that waxy, rich green that all your...

Heh, I'm not sure I CAN be intimidating... all 5'1" of me with my curly-sue hair doesn't have much on drunk-punks.
And mental intimidation doesn't work well either on wasted teenagers.
I managed to insult them pretty well though.
Haha, anyway, I just hope theyy grow out of it.. and n the mean time, avoid them like the plague!
Aww, capybaras are great.. like guinnea pigs only bigger.

Yes, trees DO have a lot to say. Personally, I congregate up in the hills with old oak tree forests that have the luxury of a cool stream that gurgles by and very quiet valleys where few venture to explore. Haven't seen any fishies, though, so couldn't help you there.
i followed the fish for several blocks before i lost sight of it and was forced to find something else to do. i would like to know where swimmy little fish go when they disappear from the street, but as i have yet to catch one i have not had the opportunity to ask. the spiders claim that fish do not go all swimmy around...

excesively pissed off now by people who are supposed to be rational. have been reading large quantities of quantum physics as of late... started wondering why every single theorem, proof and equation assumes time is a given (after all, we measure time by a completely flawed, ever changing, and increasingly chaotic device - our planets movement in this solar system). have not found one single...

you know you have spent too much time studying the "Thousand Nights and One Night" when you start and end every sentence with some praise to Allah... without thinking about it... and when you aren't Muslim. fortunately they are all excellent stories and if Allah is responsible He should definately be praised for them.
in better news though, i managed to find two more of...

spent too much time lost in higher dimensionality physics and the nature of time. think i might have found something personally profound... but also find that i am even less stable then normal. the universe and al that inhabits it, even its inhabitants thoughts, are ripe with potential energy. so much potential that all possibilities are probable and attainable. reality is built by each and...

picked up a wicked collection of the "The Thousand Nights and One Night" translated back in the mid 1800's. four volumes of sex, and decadence, and beauty, and weirdness. its bloody stunning! i love stuff like...

You're very fortunate to find such a literary treasure. I would love to find a copy that hasn't experienced the bastardization or censorship of our western "morality".
You are right about the winter and the darkness that magick seems to thrive in. Thanks for the alternate perspective. It's been a long time since I had the joy of snow blanketing my world - but certainly know the beauty of which you speak.
If I find a muse I'll be sure to let you know where to find her.

out of my head today... caught somewhere between the belief that i am of the doaine sidhe, the prophet who comes after the Beast, and the cheshire cat... hoping at somepoint i remember who i am long enough to put me back together. names have power, all the old stories and tales agree, but i don't think i have ever really known my name... the...

it's too bad we're forced to farm, I might add. as the native abundance has been wiped nearly to non-existence.

the power of names and gods, that's just what I meant.

apparently there are people in this world who are under the impression that i need a specific religion. for example, a woman who had way too much energy for the amount of strain her body must be suffering under constantly, comes barging into my office with a large amount of paperwork to be excised and dutied and essentially taxed to ridiculousness. as i shift into...

thank you for the compliment. actually you would be surprised by what the plant tends to pick up. it has a lot to tell if you have the patience and sense to listen.

I know what your saying about talking to the plant. When I go into the mountains, I commune with the trees - those are conversations that can humble a person.

i suppose i have always believed in Kharma, not so much in the "what you do now will impact you in your next life's placement" sense so much as the "you have, are, and will experience many planes of existence and they will all impact on each other in various and interesting manners" sense (trust me, that makes sense in my head and can actually...

You're absolutely right - holding onto all those things is the key. Too often we achieve those things and then let them slip away because we try too hard to hold on to them. Best way to keep them is to not try to keep them.
Sorry to hear about your loss - I know what that feels like. Great profile by the way - Theology and mythology and metaphysics never bore me - they are the most worn out books i have.
