It starts with a single note.
Piercing,
clear,
haunting.
It lingers, hanging in the air like a crystalized breath on a winters day. Hangs for an eternity, till it seems that there is only the note, has always been the note, always will be the note. Then it shatters, dissipating in the onset of the melody.

Yes, trees DO have a lot to say. Personally, I congregate up in the hills with old oak tree forests that have the luxury of a cool stream that gurgles by and very quiet valleys where few venture to explore. Haven't seen any fishies, though, so couldn't help you there.

You're absolutely right - holding onto all those things is the key. Too often we achieve those things and then let them slip away because we try too hard to hold on to them. Best way to keep them is to not try to keep them.

Sorry to hear about your loss - I know what that feels like. Great profile by the way - Theology and mythology and metaphysics never bore me - they are the most worn out books i have.
