I'm on a running kick. So far it's lasted a week. I have plans to make it a regular thing. It would be really helpful for the old lungs. Plus it's an excelent cheap entertainment.
Today I ran with my sister. SHe was faster overall, but I beat her on the sprints! yay! I win!
Running faster than someone else is a major accomplishment for...

The asthma monster is scary, huh? He sits on my chest too. It's the worst when one goes out dancing and has an attack in a smoky club. It kinda put a big drag on the evening.

It's good that you are strengthing your lungs. I need to do more cardio work as well, but I haven't found anything I really love that gets my heart racing (except twirling and grooving). I'm so lazy. frown

Edited to add:
Running on the beach is where I love to run. I could spend the entire day splashing throught the waves and bounding along the sand. There is just something so right about the feel of the ground by the sea. The perfect combination of give and support. (Now I'm getting all nostalgic for summer days. Sigh . . )

move so you please yourself, move beleiving you can create interesting, luscious, delicious, rich movement.
That's the start. that's what they mean by grounded and centered.
fight, flail, flinch, let your breath rasp, and your lungs burn, but fight, and come from that place of enjoyment.
so you are not everyone's favorite, so you are not as flexible as a circus performer, as strong as an...

Well that friggin rules. Wanna hear something scary? I thought I recognized the quenya. Yeah, geeks unite.

I totally wanted to get something Tolkien-esq as a tattoo, but it seems almost too cliche now. Sure, I read the books when I was 12, but I only recently got the conviction for tattoos. I was going to get one of the dwarven war cries, but never settled on which one. I always thought it would be cool to be taking off my armor at a tournament and have someone ask me about it, and just shout out the war cry at them.. ehehe.

Yeah, I'm a dork.

I love the languages in the books. Elvish.org is also one of those websites that can just browse and browse all day long. I love that.

biggrin - I think you should write more... For whenever you do, it allows me to see parts of you that I haven't before. That, and you're really good at it! *nosin'*

hmm. well, there's the end of another week of work for me. Not a bad shift until the last 20 minutes which involved trying to do incontinent care on a resident (that means patient wholives in the nursing home) with dementia who started freaking out and hitting us. I don't mind the hitting -- what bugs me is that this guy is in pain and...

I have blood blisters on my toes.
what else? my asthma was acting up. probably because I'm undertaking the cleaning/total reorganization of everything I own before I move- and well there's dustand such.
I like to pertend I don't have asthma, until it gets really bad and then I get really mad at people for `not realizing I have asthma and can't breathe. oops.

Capoeira is amazing to watch. I wish I had the balance for it.

So, you must get asked all the time, but it's my turn. What does your ink say?

I just realized thatit's been nearly 12 years since I started Identifying as bisexual. wow. Long time... I was thinking about it because I was in this bar a week ago or so, that ten years ago was a gay bar that some of my friends worked in.
back then I was much more vocal, I wasn't willing to "pass" I'd read all this political...

A cute woman changed my oil at Jiffy-lube! She was the one down under my car, so I didn't see her until she brought me my keys, and it was all I could do not to let my jaw drop and stare. What a hottie. She had strawberry red hair and a train conductor's hat on (the blue and white striped kind). I had been...

I want to go to massage therapy school. I'm eating chunkie monkey. I've pulled a very strange hip/lower back muscle. This too shall pass.
Of course I don't want to go to school right away. It was a mistake to take classes this semester, with only a year off after my seven years of part time undergraduate oddessy. Maybe it becomes a habbit or something...

Well, I think I just got a poopie test grade. I don't know what I'm crying about, this is the easiest grading anatomy and physiology teacher ever.... he drops the lowest of our four test grades and there's no final. This was test number three and tests one and two are all grades over 110%, with the astronomical curve. I may just have to suck it...

Stupid, stupid asthma medicine. Once again, it's late fall, and I have to stop trying to pertend I don't have asthma. I'm about to run out of my stash of old unfinished inhalers, and I guess that means it's time to go see the doctor again, and get my perscriptions refilled.
Crap. I hate asthma medicine. almost as much as I hate not being able...
