I love Tannith Lee!
actually I've only read the flat earth series (repeatedly) and the wolf tower series- one - I think that's what it's called- young adult type stuff, as opposed to the flat earth, which is adult adult.

when I first read Night's master, it was around the time of tipper Gore and all of the warning labels coming out. Give or take...

Am I a bad person for not being willing to wait three minutes for...

Thanks for the food and fun tonight, it was a great time. You exceeded all expectations, i cannot wait until we all get to hang out again. I am thinking for the next SGCT movie, we should do an intro kinda like the "Friends" intro, except we are all dressed in fetish wear and drag. That would be a hoot.

I sent you the email that i recieved from the contact improv peeps, check it out.

Much thanks again for the full belly.

Looking forward to seeing everyone again saturday night

I'm at my mom's using her dsl connection. I have to walk the deedle dog since mom is out of town.
I've been looking up contact improv stuff online again.
I've been thinking about why I'm so internally critical about some of the things that are important to me, like art, dance, improv, writing.

I wish there were adult modern classes in New haven....

Hey you. What's contact improv? Is it full-contact improv? Sounds interesting if it isn't and even more if it is.

yup, im a yoga perfectionist fer sure. ive just noticed this pattern in myself as well - i have a very hard time doing something different from day to day. like if i am doing yoga, i feel that i have to do the exact same series of poses day in and day out otherwise im missing something or i wont make progress or whatever. rigidity, not good. but how to surrender to the flow?! i have to control every detail of my exisitance ahhhhh.... miao!!

Long time no talk. Cool post. I've always felt that duality with work relationships. I've always felt like there were at least roles I had to play. Family, Friends and School/Work. Always tried to bring as much of my Family and Friend self as possible to coworkers, supervisors and professors. But in the grand sense of it all I was being myself as appropriate to each situation.

PS say hello to my friend and new member CPGalom
arachnequarius:
mmmm, i am with the wool sock theory, although i think you should also explore the wonders of coolmax, the fabric engineered for said wicking. wicking. wicking. hee - keep saying it and it sounds like babbling nonsense.

this might be the extreme goofiness talking, but i laughed out loud at reading "i'm tired from lifting the old people". not in a cruel way, but it just struck me funny. iamadork.

so sorry you missed the unofficial (albeit, dangerous) fun. sounds like everyone had a fun time. hopefully next time you'll be able to go bust some heads ... i mean, play games.

as for the accuracy of public opinion, yes, indeed. it sounds like you have achieved the proper balance in yr own perspective. after all, its a sort of power advantage to have them believe you are innocent, naive, and happy all of the time. do you find that this exempts you from alot of the popular pressure to engage in enforced sharing? i bet if you do speak, your words are considered more carefully. and yes, many sided dice indeed.

i understand where you are comging from. although i am the superficially freaky one everywhere i go, no one really knows the true tales of ... oh, so many things. its a mixed blessing when i feel lonely or misunderstood, but i am usually glad that i've not made myself vulnerable when the true colours of my compatriots emerge.

on a more positive note, i do feel quite comfortable doing so here. also, more on above when i send part II of the other reply.

On the once upon a time in mexico dvd is also a "ten minute cooking school" thing that's really cool.

I want to get whole/unground spices and a spice grinder. I'm really getting into cooking stuff lately.

I've been getting into the artist'sway thing again.
what else.
I dunno.
capoeira is good.
I'm so happy with my kitchen.

today I'm making a sort of black bean chili, with a chicken and couscous dish.

We took the dog princess to the vet for a follow up visit and they say she's doiing well. She's great! They think it was Lymes disease, especially since the antibiotics worked so miraculously.

ohhh, ireland. very cool. although, a friend of mine went over xmas and he was not too thrilled about it. everyone else i know who has been lurved it.

chocolate and mangos - that is some seriously sexy eating. yummers.

capoeira is starting at a studio in my area pretty soon. depending on the cost i may check it out. the thing is, i am rather slight of body and not super strong, so i don't know if i could keep up. i am trying (aGAIN) to gain a few pounds, so the slight of body might improve, but the strength - hmmmm. any thoughts on what a person considering such a new thing should consider?
