lpn program entrance test tomorrow.
I've been studying from a test prep book with questions like:
2. Arthur can shovel snow from a sidewalk in 60 minutes and Jack can do it in 30 minutes. How many minutes would it take them to do it together?
(a) 90
(b) 15
(c) 30
(d) 20
answers that I feel should be added:
(e) yes.
(f) the landlord is responsible for that, why bother?
(g) are they feeling compeditive?
(h) it's just going to snow again.
(i) get a snowblower
(j) pay local child to shovel walk in 15 minutes.
(k) a damn long time if Arthur has a heart attack and Jack falls and breaks his hip.
however, the actual questions on the practice test they gave us at the school are like:

d -6
so maybe I should just go to sleep and stop freaking myself out.

isn't that why people have children? unless Arthur and Jack are one of THOSE couples, in which case your test preparer should be commended for realizing that not everyone is a breeder. um...good luck and stuff?
