I've been very bad!

not only have I not been checking this site very much--sorry! but I've ordered myself a new toy!!!!

My 366 mhz graphite clamshell ibook will be arriving monday!

Then I'm gonna load yellow dog linux 4.0 on there, or maybe 3.0 if I'm too lazy to download 4. depending on the agravation level.

boring linux installation details:
(I have YDL 3.0 on my 14" g3 800 mhz ibook (that I'm typing on now)
I just upgraded from 2.3 to 3.0 and I'm somewhat dissapointed since now my cd-rw seems to have issues reading cds. and their stupid bugfix... ANYWAY, I'm still working on that. but I have the most beauteous desktop there ever was, and like a good linux geek, I'll have to put up screen shots.

I hear you can upgrade a clamshell ibooks ram with a 512mb pc100 stick, even though apple says, 256 is the max. we'll see.

so that's what I'm up to. working on my obsolete technology fetish and such.

I found another site where they'll install a 40 or a 60 gig hd in a clamshell ibook, and even cdrw or combo drives....

I wonder if it's a weird 3rd party combo drive......hmmmmmm

I've retired os x for the time being, so I have to figure out a better free e-mail that works with my cranky ppc mozila version.

there have to be ppc linux rpms for firefox somewhere out there.....
